|First Appearance:||Green Lantern (Vol 4)#3|
|Space Sector:||Space Sector 3601|
Biot was an artificial world that was located in harsh region of space within Space Sector 3601 and was eventually adopted as the homeworld of the artificial androids of the Guardians of the Universe known as the Manhunters. These mechanical beings proved to be the only form of life that could populate this area of space and following their defeat during the Millennium event and the destruction of Orinda, the machines seemingly moved to this new world. It quickly became a massive factory complex that produced countless new Manhunters which numbered up to 40.3 billion such androids present on the planet. The Guardians were well aware of the existence of the Manhunters in this forbidden region of space as the androids had retreated to that location and decided not to interfere or allow their enforcers to that world as they did not want to risk awakening the Manhunters. Whilst the Manhunters remained directionless, they were eventually taken control of by a new Grandmaster; Hank Henshaw, also known as the Cyborg Superman. He quickly redirected Manhunter operations and plans from Biot in order to continue his plans of destroying all life.
Revenge of The Green Lanterns
Following the restoration of the Oans and the Green Lantern Corps, the Manhunters were secretly responsible for the capture of numerous previously thought of as deceased Green Lanterns ranging from the Lost Lanterns to Chaselon along with Arisia. Using them in conjunction with captured Green Lantern Power Rings, the Manhunters developed a connection to the restored Green Lantern Central Power Battery on Oa thus allowing them to rebuild Biot as well as tap its data conduit. A Manhunter was dispatched from Biot to Earth in order to terminate Manhunter 1988.2814 and the destruction of both alerted the Manhunters on their homeworld. Later, Tomar-Tu who was being used as an energy source by the Manhunters managed to escape his captors and crashed on Earth which alerted Hal Jordan of the continued existence of many he thought he had slain when he was possessed by the Parallax Entity. Disobeying the Guardians, he along with Guy Gardner travelled to Biot to rescue their comrades where they battled the Manhunters. During the fight, Jordan along with Arisia were forcibly placed within a Highmaster but they used their combined willpower to override the giant android and used its power to destroy Biot. With the destruction of Biot, the Manhunters seemingly relocated to Warworld during the events of the Sinestro Corps War.
