History
Izanami is one of the gods of Ancient Japan She was wife of the god Izanagi, andmother of several children. When the fire-god, Kagutsuchi, was born, his power was so great that she died as a result from his birth and departed the realm of the living with her children. Izanagi entered the underworld to retrieve his children and discovered Izanami as a rotting corpse. He rescued his children, but she sent a curse to always take lives from the realm of the living. In modern years, Izanami was allied with several underworld gods such as Ahriman and Morrigan into converting Superman into an agent under their control. To sway him, Izanami impersonated a journalism student with a minor in mythology named Kiki Bones and transformed Lois Lane to a goddess, but Lois managed to break the facade the gods were concealing themselves behind. Superman defeated the gods afterward, but Lois lost her godly owers afterward.
