He berates it at first, but then remembers that Luthorcorp sponsors most of his sponors, but when he starts to brush it off Manthrex shows up & exposes him for the fraud he is, saying that he was paid for the attack last week, but the check bounced. Booster flat out denies it, but is later exposed for all the things he's done for publicity.

History

Joan Garrick, née Williams, was married to Jay Garrick, the first Flash and member of the Justice Society of America.

After Drs. Jerry and Tina McGee had attempted to return Wally West his speed, resulting in what appeared to be the speedster's death after a devastating cross-country run, Joan traveled to New York to comfort his mother, since she herself had been through the same thing, with the apparent death of Jay.

During one of her visits to the West apartment, she talked with Wally about moving to Keystone City. However, she was still shocked when he actually did, with Mason Trollbridge and the Pied Piper in tow.

Obviously the wife of a super-hero, Joan accompanied Wally, Mason, and Piper on their first adventure in Keystone, a battle against the Turtle's henchmen who had taken Piper's family hostage.
